
Kakao Kraftz is the brand name of Kaosiemenma Uchendu-Edeh. Kaosiemenma is a multidisciplinary visual artist and art educator. Her art practice explores cultural heritage and social identity through predominantly innovative textile-based media. Her handcrafted creations include soft sculpture figures made from wool balls and African prints balls.
With a passion for storytelling through art, her designs blend traditional African elements with modern flair, resulting in unique pieces that honour her cultural roots. She holds a Master of Fine Art.
She is passionate about creating unique works that blur the lines between traditional fabrics and art. As a talented artist, she loves exploring with her indigenous African fabrics and textile fibres using various studio methods to create unique artworks. Her goal is to advance the use of textile art as a social identity. Her recent works such as Unravelling Heritage, Folded Family Ties, and Inherited Echoes, exhibited internationally including at the “Heritage” art exhibition in Southampton, UK in March 2025, reflect her focus on cultural heritage, nature, resilience, and evolving community identities.
